Efstathios Adamopoulos
Efstathios Adamopoulos is a doctoral candidate/ assistant researcher at the University of Turin. He received a Diploma in Rural & Survey Engineering, with major socialization in Land Surveying (Geodesy and Photogrammetry) in 2015 and a MSc degree in Protection of Monuments (Conservation and Building Materials) in 2017 from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Prior to joining the Laboratory of Geomatics for Cultural Heritage (of DAD) he was a junior researcher at the Lab of Materials Science at the School of Chemical Engineering of NTUA, dealing with issues concerning the 3D modelling of heritage sites and the visualization/ analysis of interdisciplinary information through GIS. He has completed two internships in Greece related to the documentation of archaeological and historic locations in 2013 and 2014. He is a regular member of CIPA Heritage Documentation and has attended the CIPA summer school: ‘Cultural Heritage 3D Surveying and Modelling’, held at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2016. His research interest is the fusion of interdisciplinary data coming from various techniques (chemical, spectroscopic, geophysical, structural, environmental) into three-dimensional models to help facilitate the diagnosis of the conservation state of cultural heritage objects of different scales.
